Elegant Wedding in Florida

Sometimes, as a wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to work with the same family twice. That was the case for Elizabeth and Joey’s elegant wedding in Florida. I documented their emotional day with a mix of candid portraits and editorial posing.

An Elegant Wedding in Florida

This Florida wedding took place at Rustic Oaks Ranch. This High Springs wedding venue is actually a 40-acre farm that’s been converted into a venue. It includes a large house and everything you could need for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and seated reception.

The landscape around Rustic Oaks Ranch is beautiful and perfect for portraits. When the sun shines through the Spanish moss, it’s absolutely dreamy. The farm house has cool architectural elements, too, including elaborate windows and warm woodwork. There are so many great places for everything from a first look to editorial portraits.

Elizabeth and Joey’s Emotional Celebration

Elizabeth and Joey hadn’t been together long when they realized they’d found their always love. Just two months into dating, they moved in together. About two years later, they got engaged. Elizabeth reached out to me almost immediately. I second photographed her older sister’s wedding, and Elizabeth and I had stayed in touch over the years. It was so nice to get to work with their family again at this wedding in Florida.

For Joey and Elizabeth’s wedding, I used a combination of posed portraits and candid photos to capture the emotions of the day. You can tell how glamorous Elizabeth felt in her wedding dress with its sheer cape. The couple’s joy at being together radiates from the more candid images.
