Glamorous Italian Destination Wedding

An Italian destination wedding is a great way to celebrate your always love with the beauty and touch of drama that it deserves. I traveled to the Italian coast with Annie and Agnel to document their intimate celebration with editorial wedding photos. Their romantic seaside portraits feel like a scene from a film.

An Italian Destination Wedding

There are two ways to approach the logistics of a destination wedding. You can have a legal ceremony at home before traveling or do everything at your destination. Annie and Angel got legally married in the U.S. before their trip to Italy. If you want to do everything in Italy, build a few extra days into your trip for appointments. You can find all the information on paperwork and requirements on the U.S. Embassy’s website here.

If Italy is meant to be for your wedding, consider some locations a little off the beaten path. Cities like Rome and Florence have their own magic, but smaller towns can be charming and more relaxed. Annie and Angel headed to a small town on the sea for a more intimate atmosphere.

Editorial Wedding Photos by the Sea

If you’re planning an Italian destination wedding, my guess is that you want to celebrate your love in a place full of timeless romance. Italy is the epicenter of so many movements in architecture, fashion, and art. Getting married there places your love story in those narratives. That’s why editorial wedding photography is the perfect style to tell your story.

I used editorial photography to document Annie and Angel’s Italian destination wedding. With inspiration from cinema and fashion (two things Italy does well), I guided them through poses in stunning settings. Their more candid moments, too, had the feeling of an old film.
